REEL Rocks! ..::.. Welcome to the swiss rock band REEL :-) ..::..

Avant de glisser dans la nouvelle année 2007 qui se présente à nous et avant de se souhaiter que le meilleur 2 minutes avant minuit, profitons de faire la synthèse de cette année 2006 fort intéressante!

REEL se métamorphose en véritable entit, solide et déterminé le groupe est! Même si cette année fut une nouvelle fois consacrée à la création et à l'enregistrement de chansons, elle fut néanmoins fort constructive avec les contacts pris et les attaches développées. L'album Lithium se porte bien et a tenu toutes ses promesses et fut la base nécessaire pour progresser et avancer. Le futur nouvel album, toujours sans nom, représentera un travail plus abouti et fini. Avec la qualité et le son REEL!

En tout cas l'aventure est extraordinaire et continuera de l'être. Le groupe ainsi que tout le monde de REEL WEB profite aussi de vous remercier, vous qui nous suivez soit depuis le début ou récemment! Vous qui au fil des jours partagez notre aventure musicale! Voilà le moment est venu de sabrer le champagne et buvons à cette nouvelle année 2007 qui sera remplie de REEL music!

Before sliding into the new year 2007 which is in front of all of us and before saying all teh best wishes and that 2 minutes to midnight, let's take the opportunity to summarize 2006 which has been a great year in fact!

REEL has changed into something more compact, a real entity where all members work together with a real determination to gain success! Even if this year has been dedicated to create and record new songs, it has been a great one as the band got many new contacts and new opportunities for the year to come. The album Lithium did pretty well and kept all the promises. It is the real basis for the new music to come as all members made huge progress working on the REEL sound bringing music with an intenser quality.

So the adventure is grand and will continue to be so! The band and all people working for REEL WEB take the opportunity to say thanks to you all that have been following the band since the start. Thank you for being there on a dialy basis and discovering the band. So stay tuned for another great musical year! Time to celebrate and drink some champagne and let's drink to 2007! Cheers to you all!

Une grande surprise fut de voir la fille de Steve Harris, Lauren Harris, en 1ère partie de la tournée de Maiden avec un répertoire très percutant. Très rockeuse et proche de son public, cela fut bien sûr pour elle une aubaine de jouer devant tant de monde. Bien sûr on peut toujours dire vive papa mais il faut toujours avec le courage de monter sur scène et de faire un show qui tient la route et qui puisse satisfaire les fans avant le grand moment. En tout cas chapeau bas! 

Toujours intéressant de voir les diverses relations Père & fils, dans ce cas Père & fille, existantes dans le music business et je dois dire que celle ci doit bien fonctionner. En effet il semblait que la pression n'existait pas tout simplement la musique parlait.

Si je peux comparer, mon père n'était pas musicien du tout mais heureusement qu'il était amateur de musique rock ... Quelques disques de Bob Dylan ou de Pink Floyd trainaient dans la discographie me permettant une 1ère approche à la musique rock. L'année 1980 fut déterminante pour moi avec la découverte d'AC/DC le jour de la mort de Bon Scott (un mercredi ... émission studio 6 présentée par Patrick Sabatier et Trust comme invité chantant .. Antisocial) ... et bang le rock entra dans la peau de plein fouet! Quelques mois plus tard sur une cassette une certaine chanson "Killers" et la photo d'un bassiste portant un pantalon hyper collant blanc et noir, cela fut la découverte de Maiden ... 

Depuis cela fut digne d'une montagne russe, vive le rock!

One of the great surprises during that Iron Maiden concert was to discover Lauren Harris, the daughter of Steve Harris the bass palyer of the band with a quite good show. Very rocky and near to the audience which of course was a good chance for her to play in front such a huge audiense. Thanks dad we would all say but at the end you need to be steady on that stage and make it work. So bravo great show.

Always interesting to see those Father & son relations in the rock busines, in that case father & daughter but it seems that it functions quite well. No much pressure felt as the music did its talking!

If I compare my dad was no rocker musician nor palyed any instrument but at least we listened to some rock music .... Some records (LP) of Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd were part of his collection which gave the very first approach to the music. But it was later in 1980 when I saw AC/DC for the very first time on TV. I remember it was on Bon Scott's death that a TV show called studio 6 played soem AC/DC videos and a band called Trust played Antisocial live! What a sound! It hit me big time! Rock was in my veins! Later came the discovery through a tape with a certain song" Killers" and a huge bass player, It was the discoevry of Iron Maiden ...

Since then it was a roller coaster ride! Long live rock!

Quelques news d'une des artistes de la REEL family: Marilyn!

En effet suite à son 1er single "J'rêve" enregistré avec les musiciens de REEL, elle a suivi son propre développement en prenant part à des longues répétitions au sein d'une comédie musicale inspirée de l'oeuvre poétique et spirituelle de François Garagnon: "Jade et les sacrés mystères de la vie"

Elle y tient un des rôles importants et est la doublure du rôle principal ce qui est exceptionnel.

Les dates de représentations sont les 2,3,4,9,10,11,16,17 et 18 mars 2007 à Delémont, Jura, Suisse.

Toute l'équipe REEL lui tient d'ores et dàjà les pouces! Rock on Marilyn!

Some news of one of the artists of the REEL family: Marilyn!

Indeed since the recording of the 1st single "J'rêve" with the REEL members, she has followed her own way by working hours within a musical which is inspired by the poetic and spiritual work of François Garagnon: "Jade and the secret mysteries of life"

She will have one of the leading roles and being the back-up for the main leading role. Great and bravo!

The dates for the show will be as follow: 2,3,4,9,10,11,16,17 and 18th march 2007 in Delémont, Jura, Switzerland

Toute l'équipe de REEL fut de sortie pour fêter Noël ensemble avant de se concentrer sur des projets aussi diverses que multiples. En effet BENE, après avoir terminé les parties guitares, va commencer à éditer toute la musique enregistrée. JAY quand à lui travaill beaucoup avec Cindy en ce moment sur la réalisation de nouvelles chansons. PAT et JUL participant à cela se concentrent aussi sur leur projet le BOTANICAL, formation back up de chanteurs de reggae et seront sur scène le 30.12 du côté de Saint Gall. Donc comme vous pouvez le constater il se passe un tas de choses dans la famille REEL.

The whole REEL team gathered together to enjoy a christmas dinner before concentrating on the multiple project at hand. Indeed BENE will start to edit the music for the new songs. JAY will continue to work some new songs with Cindy. PAT and JUL helping out, will concentrate on their back up reggae band called the BOTANICAL, promoting themselves on the 30th of december live somewhere in Saint Gallen, Switzerland! As you can see a lot is going within the REEL family.

Salut à toutes et à tous! Je profite de ma liberté conditionnelle du studio pour vous écrire ces quelques lignes! Les sessions furent superbes mais exigeantes! Je peux difficilement compter les heures de guitare mais bon le résultat en vaut la peine, vous pouvez me faire confiance! Sinon vous pouvez déjà visionner quelques photos de ces sessions ainsi que la vie dans le studio au quotidien! Ambiance garantie avec le café de Jay, les "Ich liebe Dich, Ich liebe Dich" style Lara Fabian de Robert ainsi que ses imitations. Rire absolu! Sinon les longues conversations musique avec les boys (Jay, Jul et Pat) - Vraiment un moment unique! Maintenant faut digérer tout cela et laisser les doigts se reposer aussi! Sinon tout roule! REEL rocks ...

Hi there to you all! Just escaped the studio to write you those lines and tell you that all is going on very well. The sessions have been great but very exhausting! I have given a lot of hours to have what is needed to make the new songs work. I promise it sounds already bombastic! On the site you can already view some pictures from those sessions and the daily life in the studio. It is simply the best time possible: Jay's coffee is unbeatable, the singing of Robert "Ich liebe Dich, Ich liebe Dich" Lara Fabian's style and his imitations are just a kill. A great laughter! Also the long talks about music with the boys (Jay, Jul and Pat) - A true great moment in time! Now it is time to digest all of that and let the fingers rest a bit! But no worries all is rocking ... REEL rocks ...

Enfin nous avons pu surprendre notre BENE national lors d'une séance photo très spéciale! Un grand moment de fun! Nous saisissons donc cette opportunité pour vous communiquer les dernières infos du groupe. BENE vient de passer pas mal de temps en studio pour enregistrer les parties de guitare pour les nouvelles chansons qui prennent forme. Du sacré travail et des heures de guitare pour notre guitariste chéri!

Les autres membres du groupe étaient bien sûr présents pour le soutenir dans son parcours du combattant tout en déclenchant de sacrées parties de fou rire! En tout cas l'ambiance au studio est au beau fixe!

We finally achieved to caught BENE off handed during a photo shoot! That was a wild moment! A lot of fun! We take the opportunity to give you the latest news of the band. BENE just spent some time in the studio recoridng all guitar parts for the new songs. We have now a pretty good idea how they will sound like. A great job has been done and hours of guitar playing!

The other members were of course also there helping BENE out during the tough times with great laughter and big attitude! Such a great time! What is for sure the life in the studio is great great great!

Voici une news qui peut-être enfin officielle!

En effet JAY en qualité de compositeur travaillait depuis quelques mois déjà, avec JUL et PAT notamment, sur des compositions pour la chanteuse prometteuse qu'est Cindy. Qui est-elle? Tout simplement la chanteuse qui a terminé 4ème à la Nouvelle Star 4.

Ce que l'on peut rajouter est que les divers compositions sonnent! Tout simplement wow! Il reste simplement à les sortis au grand jour pour non seulement découvrir le talent de chanteuse de Cindy mais surtout le travail d'orfèvre que JAY, JUL et PAT sont capables d'accomplir.

Comme JAY, PAT et JUL travaillent avec BENE dans le cadre du groupe REEL, il était important pour nous de faire partager les autres activités des musiciens!

Now that the news if official!

Indeed JAY as a solid songwriter was working since months, withe the help of JUL, PAT and some others, on songs for the promising signer Cindy. Who is she? Well simply the giral that finished 4th at the french Nouvelle Star 4.

What we can say is that the songs sound terrific! Wow what a bomb! All is needed now is that they are released showing to the world not only her singing talents but what great the boys are (JAY, ,JUL, PAT)

As JAY, JUL and PAT are working with BENE within REEL, it is important for us to share the other activities the other band members have!

Encore un moment de vrai rock and roll!

En effet Iron Maiden en tournée est passé du côté de Zurich au fameux Hallenstadion qui était pour l'occasion sold out! eh oui plus de 15000 personnes dans cette salle chantant en coeur les chansons du groupe qui annonça que le dernier album "A Matter of Life and Death" fut certifié or en Suisse.

Bravo!

Another great moment of rock and roll!

Indeed Iron Maiden played live on their european tour at the famous Hallenstadion which was for the occasion sold out! Yes more than 15000 fans were there singing on all songs with passion as the band informed everybody that they went gold in Switzerland.

Bravo!

PS: Comme Bruce a dit au public suisse que les horloges suisses déconnent sérieusement car pour Maiden cela sera toujours "2 Minutes to Midnight". As Bruce said, Swiss time is completely off course as it will always be "2 minutes to midnite" for Maiden!
