Suite à ce fameux flashback qui a animé quelques longues et très intéressantes discussions au sein du studio par rapport à l'époque où l'enregistrement a eu lieu (en effet un 45t qui fut enregistré fin années 80 comparé à aujourd'hui, cela semble un peu l'âge de pierre!), l'actualité est définitivement à aujourd'hui!

Aujourd'hui est tout ce qui compte avec tout le travail accompli depuis ces derniers mois! REEL  existe pleinement par sa musique, l'album Lithium en est la toute première preuve, Dominion est en cours d'enregistrement et les idées fusent pour la suite! REEL est vraiment présent aujourd'hui et il n'existe aucune raison qu'il en soit autrement sauf ... une catastrophe nucléaire ... mais là personne au sein du groupe n'est responsable :-)

Thanks to the famous flashback which brought some long and superb talks within the studio walls, making music back in the 80s was something very different from today (It is a bit like the stone age when you look at the evolution of all the existing tools). The true news is Today!

Today is what really matter the most when you look on the long work done all those months. REEL exists today through its music, the album Lithium is the first proof of that, the album Dominion is being recorded and many new ideas just rush in. REEL is the present, is today and nothing will stop that except ... a nuclear detonation ... but nobody within the band would be responsible of that :-)

Wow quel flashback cela fut pour BENE lors d'une séance de rangement durant le week.end! En effet il a retrouvé sur un support CD le fameux 45 tours qui fut enregistré en 1989 par les membres de REEL de l'époque avec quelques personnes en studio sous le nom de The Neu-Westend Project. Ce single avait vendu plus de 1500 exemplaires dans tout la Suisse et fut joué pendant quelques semaines sur des radios. Un sacré souvenir!

Voici donc pour vous ces deux chansons:

Les musiciens qui ont joué sur le single sont: BENE (guitares, Choeurs), D.Joubert (Claviers), D,Benaim (Chant), L.Godard (Choeurs), I.Banic (Basse sur Soldier of Fortune) et R.Zwart (Programmation batterie). L'enregistrement a eu lieu au Taurus Studio de Genève auprès de C.Lander qui a enregsitré et mixé les deux chansons.

Cela est donc tout simplement cadeau pour vous!

Wow what a flashback it has been during the week-end when BENE found on a CD the original songs from the first EP recorded. That recording took place back in 1989 with the original members of REEL with some additional musicians and came out under the name of The Neu-Westend Project. The EP sold over 1500 copies throughout Switzerland and was aired for a couple of weeks on several radios

So here are the 2 songs:

The musicians who played on the EP are: BENE (guitars, Backing Vocals), D.Joubert (Keyboards), D.Benaim (Vocals), L.Grodard (Backing Vocals), I.Banic (Bass on Soldier of Fortune) and R.Zwart (Drum Programming). The recording took place at the Taurus Studio in Geneva. It was engineered and mixed by C.Lander

Il ne faut pas croire que les musiciens de REEL sont en train de dormir au sein du studio pendant que l'actualité les concernant se développe! BENE est enfermé depuis quelques jours déjà pour faire les prises de voix pour les chansons du nouvel album. Mais cela est un travail minutieux, cela prend un peu de temps!

Do not believe nothing is happening in the studio and that the musicians of REEL are sleeping with the ongoing news! BENE is in the studio recording the vocal parts for the songs for the new album. It is a work that takes a lot of time and concentration!

Revenons quelques instants sur le fameux Caprices New Talent Tour car nous avons les résultats qui sont maintenant définitifs!

Pour le groupe a pu récolté pas moins de 1571 votes pour terminer 6ème au classement général et 2ème pour l'Hacienda Sonic de Sierre.

Merci à toutes et à tous pour ce superbe résultat!

Tristement cela est insuffisant pour continuer l'aventure mais tout le monde au sein de REEL vous remercie pour votre soutien sans failles!

Let's go back to the Caprices New Talent Tour as we have now the results and they are final:

For the band 1571 votes came in which is a true great result finishing 6th overall and 2nd for the Hacienda Sonic in Sierre.

Thank you for your devotion by voting for the band.

Sadly it is not enough to be qualified for the second round but still all at REEL thank you for everything!

Heure de gloire pour les musiciens de Colors Music & Cindy est enfin arrivée.

En effet elle a pu chanté sa fameuse 1ère chanson "Baby Sexy" lors de l'inauguration du stade de la Maladière à Neuchâtel, Suisse devant plus de 12000 personnes, .

Comme vous le savez tous Jay, Jul et Pat font partie de Colors Music et ont composé cette chanson qui a connu un grand succès en téléchargement puisqu'avec les 3 autres chansons qui furent proposées, plus de 100'000 téléchargements ont été réalisé.

La préparation d'un album est en cours ce qui est bien sûr une excellente nouvelle!

Time of glory happened for the musicians of Colors Music & Cindy!

Indeed she had the chance to sing the very first song released "Baby Sexy" at the stadium's inaugural in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in front of 12000 people.

As you all know Jay, Jul & Pat are part of Colors Music and wrote the song which with the other 3 releases have been downloaded more than 100'000 times.

Now an album is in the loop which is very good news of course!

Just a great bravo to you all!
